Libourne is twinned with three European cities
- Schwandorf in Germany
- Keynsham in England,
- Logroño in Spain,
These twinnings are based on regular educational, cultural and also formal exchanges as well as sporting events and evidence the principal ties between Libourne and these three cities.
Thanks to these twinnings, our city testifies her overture to culture , to the exchange of knowledge and to... Europe.
LOGROÑO was twinned with Libourne in October 1979
It is a Spanish city which is lively, dynamic and booming within the Autonomous Community from Rioja, one the smallest Spanish provinces. It is situated in the Ebre Valley between Pampelune and Burgos. Logrono is well-known by the Saint-Jacques de Compostelle pilgrims.
Logroño and Libourne are very similar in many ways, since the popularity of Logroño also stems from her wine
The cooperation is based on diverse activities (cultural, associative, sportings events...) backed up on European programs such as "Léonardo" to organise student, job-seeker or trainee exchanges.
Over the last 40 years many meetings and enriching exchanges between our cities have occured, so friendship ties and special relationships have bloomed.

Schwandorf is a German city situated in the Upper Palatine (Bavaria), 150 km from Munich, next to the Czech Republic border.
Scores of meetings and enriching exchanges have taken place over the last 40 years between the peoples of our two cities, creating ties of friendship and diverse social relations.
KEYNSHAM, Libourne's twin city since 1977
Keysham is an English city situated in South West England, the Wansdyke coutry Bath district, near Bristol.
Many exchanges have taken place over these years, and close ties of friendship between the peoples of the two cities have been initiated.
